Company was officially started by talented mathematician Timo Kanninen. Together with Timo and the core team we started to build a new company strategy and enable the company for growth in 2014.

BC´s high performing genomic data management platform enables flexible data integration, secure analysis and interpretation of molecular and clinical information. Company has a vision to revolutionize decision making in drug development to bring clinical benefits to patients. With twenty years of experience, BC Platforms truly is an expert in understanding the science of life. During this joint journey BC has tripled the revenue and tripled the headcount. In 2017 company did a round B financing round total of 10 MCHF.

NSC3™ is a NSION Ltd developed scalable PaaS solution, tailored for network operators, fully abiding the security and performance requirements of national emergency services. For operators NSC3 is a solid, distribute-ready service on one day deployment. For end-user it is the utility, when less than a second is a lifetime

NSION was established in 2018 by innovative technology team lead by Mattipekka Kronqvist. NSION holds industry history already from 2003 and there after re-established utilizing strong existing competencies and experience 2018. During 2017 and 2018 Riverpark started to work together with entrepreneurs in to build a strategy and a plan for accelerated go to market activities. Target is to work with most relevant carefully selected industry partners in each country.

BCB Medical

BCB Medical is the Nordic market leader in gathering and analysing clinical data. Our mission is to combine, analyse and present clinical data gathered from various sources in an understandable format so that current and future generations can live healthier lives. Our aim is to revolutionise the way clinical data impacts people’s lives. We help doctors provide better care for their patients and help them develop new forms of treatment to improve patients’ lives.

Our unique service offering encompasses disease-specific quality registries for healthcare professionals, an intelligent integration platform and the Omavointi service, which engages patients in their own clinical care. The overall offering is complemented by the BCB 360 information service, which enables the utilisation of clinical data in an unprecedented way.

BCB Medical was established in 2003 by Petteri Viljanen. In 2009 Riverpark and BCB started to work together building a new growth storyline and related capabilities. Today BC offers world-class solutions for the monitoring and analysis of more than 60 disease groups. Our solutions are used in all Finnish hospitals. In 2017 BCB ownership structure changed so that majority owners are a Swedish equity company Standout Capital and Finnish government owned equity investor Teollisuussijoitus.

Hospital Neo

Riverpark and Tero Silvola was one of the founders in Hospital NEO establishment. This story started in the day dreams many years ago, but official launch was the year of 2009 when Tero, Harri, Jussi and Timo wrote the first business plan in Teboil gas station somewhere between Turku and Helsinki.

Neo is grew fast as a private hospital group in Turku and was there after acquired by Mehiläinen in 2017, that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. NEO specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, hand surgery and the treatment of sports injuries. Surgical procedures are primarily performed as day care surgery. We also have an inpatient ward and overnight stays are possible. Top Finnish surgeons in the field and 30 other health-care professionals provide our customers with competent and expert care.

Mawell was established during 2001 by 4 innovative founders: Kimmo Alaniska, Petri Morko, Veli-Matti Qvintus and Tero Silvola. It grew first as a Finnish and there after as a Nordic Healthcare informatics company to employ over 150 specialists in several countries by 2009. Mawell was the fastest growing technology company in its domain in the whole North Europe. 

Mawell became the market leader in virtualized patient informatics in Northern Europe. The operations were based on dedicated customer cooperation and in our own product development. Unique technology offering encompassed solutions for Medical Imaging, Healthcare Contact Center Services and Technologies and Data Integration and Interoperability software.

Today Mawell business segments in consultation, software and contact center operations are divested. Software and product business was acquired by CSAM Health AS from Norway. CSAM is a privately-owned eHealth company based in Norway, focusing on software solutions enabling healthcare providers to access relevant clinical information at the point of care. CSAM is #1 in Scandinavia on oncology medication software, #1 in Norway on maternity software and #1 in Norway on emergency and acute care software.

CSAM, through its acquisition of Mawell Oy’s eSystems division, is now one of the Nordic’s leading eHealth software export firms in its industry, providing integrated specialist solutions across many healthcare disciplines.


Thermidas Oy is a Finnish health technology company established in 2008 by entrepreneur Ari Nevalainen. Thermidas’s business idea is to make IR imaging available for medical use. IR imaging is used relatively little in medicine, and especially at the time the company was established, Thermidas was one of the world’s first in this sector. The growth story for Thermidas was written and establish by Tero and Ari, which then enabled new investors joining the journey.

From the very beginning the company has invested in research and development of IR imaging in various medical applications. The IR imaging technology developed by the company has been applied in the University of Eastern Finland’s research project “Detecting Arthritis in Children and Adolescents with IR Imaging”.

The study’s IR images were taken by physicist Roope Lasanen as a part of his doctoral thesis work. Comparative images were taken with ultrasound. An article about this research was published under the title “Thermal Imaging in Screening of Joint Inflammation and Rheumatoid Arthritis in Children” in the esteemed journal Physiological Measurement, 36 (2015) 273-82. Roope Lasanen defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of applied physics on 9.10.2015; the topic was “Infrared thermography in the evaluation of skin temperature: Applications in musculoskeletal conditions”. In addition, the method developed by the company has been used to capture a large quantity of images, particularly in prosthetics and vascular surgery cases. Based on the research, the most promising results have been found in monitoring changes in peripheral circulation. Based on these results the company has developed a method for imaging the feet of diabetes patients.
